June 12th - 14th -- Join us for a weekend celebration of creativity as you hear readings of plays from the Playwriting Class, watch a presentation from the Acting Class, and enjoy an original piece created by the Production Class.
Raffles and concessions will be available. All proceeds go to Speranza Theatre Company.
Have you ever wondered what goes into putting on a play? During the Summer Camp, students will experience what it's like to come up with the idea for a play, create characters to live within the world they create and then bring them to life in a production! Learn about all aspects of production from playwriting and acting to costumes, sets, and everything else behind the scenes. Students will perform their rehearsed original play at 3 p.m. on the final day of camp.
Our education program is designed to nurture students' creativity, self-expression, and confidence through comprehensive training in acting, playwriting, and production. In a supportive and collaborative environment, students are encouraged to explore their unique voices, develop storytelling skills, and bring their ideas to life on stage.
My daughter (9 years) has discovered a new passion thanks to Speranza and I'm amazed how much she has learned in just a few months of studio classes with Mr. Nick. His dedication and highly professional acting education skills make the students excel and grow. The beautiful location of the Apple Tree house with its warmth and historic charm is just the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

Through hands-on experience in all aspects of theatre, from scriptwriting to performance and behind-the-scenes production, participants gain a deeper understanding of the art form while building essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, and self-confidence. Whether aspiring performers or curious creators, students leave the program empowered, with a stronger sense of self and a greater appreciation for the power of storytelling.
